TRAFIK, 2020
The TRAFIK series focuses on the flow of cars, where the windshield becomes a threshold between the private and the public.
Through it, we observe not only the faces of drivers and passengers, but also persistent behavioral patterns — unfastened seatbelts, children on laps, improvised decorations — along with gestures, tensions, and fleeting scenes unfolding within these enclosed spaces.
Each vehicle becomes a temporary interior, where the everyday, the symbolic, and the normative coexist in a surprisingly coherent harmony.
The series was photographed in Antalya during the 2020 lockdown, over two days, from an overpass above the city’s main boulevard.
On both occasions, the work was interrupted by the police.
